HOW TO ADD AN ACCENT COLOUR INTO YOUR GOLF WARDROBE
We challenged Carolyn from our Marketing team to find 5 ways to style an accent colour, inspired by the Pink Lemonade collection from FootJoy...
Welcome to the second instalment of our Fashion Insights in which we took inspiration from the FootJoy Pink Lemonade collection to show some of the many ways you can incorporate accent colours such as pink into your wardrobe.
So if you're a fan of the colour here's some new inspo for your golf wear, and if it's not normally the colour for you, pop any preconceptions aside and take a fresh look...
3. The Top-to-Toe Coordinated look
It's time to embrace top-to-toe colour! We can't talk highly enough about the benefits of coordinates here at GolfGarb. Two items which can be worn multiple ways - together for a dress-like effect, layered up, or combined with other items in your wardrobe as separates.
I combined a classic short sleeve print polo with a skort. This skort is fabulously comfortable. The fabric had the perfect amount of stretch, the shorts were really comfortable and stayed put, details like decent pockets were ticked but didn't leave any lumps and bumps in the look of the skort and the animal print is really fun without being at all brash. The polo sat really nicely on top with a slight curve to the hemline and is labelled with UPF protection. This outfit is definitely a real win for anyone who loves to combine their tops and legwear. I popped a matching pink long sleeve top over which is brimming with thoughtful design from the mesh panelling on the underside of the arms to the shaped collar and navy trim so it's not just "another pink top". There's UPF protection with this too.
If you prefer to add a break in the print the white polo with matching pink trim is a crisp, bright way to lift the print.
There are of course an endless selection of colourful prints to coordinate (check out our Coordinates Edit for lots of inspo) but here's a lovely bright idea to consider...
Mix and match coordinates
Take the spring summer '25 Green Lamb collection - A superb selection of prints in this year's Summer Festival colour scheme. Cleverly they have incorporated multiple brights into a lovely ditsy print and have then focussed on the pink and aqua within this to create separate print and colour combos. They are therefore almost infinitely interchangeable and get you great value for your money enabling you to create multiple, unique outfits out of a few pieces. Check out their pink outfit shown above and head to the full collection here.
This concept is perfectly encaptured by the Puma Golf Dani Dazey collboration, show above. Two completely different prints but one perfectly matching colour scheme gifts you an outfit combo you probably wouldn't have considered before. It's certainly party time at the club in these pieces!
